If you’re an AT&T overseas user of the iPhone, you are certainly no stranger to the incredibly high roaming prices. With 2G data roaming charges already outrageously high, you can bet that your 3G data roaming charges will come with a complementary swift kick to the genitals. According to TimesOnline: O2’s data roaming charges go up to £3 (~$6 US) per megabyte when downloaded in any country in the EU; worldwide can go up to £3 (~$12 US).
Moral of the story, keep that data roaming switch off in settings.

This isn’t Apple news, but it is definitely a huge loss in the comic world. George Carlin died Sunday, age 71, of heart failure. AP has a full story at the link. RIP.
Thanks Paul Salzman for the tweet.
